Have been here in AUSTRALIA for 5 months and it has been a tough transition for all of us. However I must say thus far, as new migrants we have been made welcome by most. The wonderful thing is that over here people have been helpful and our rellies have supported us. The greatest 3 regrets moving here would be:-
1] leaving my parents behind
2] my Friends and acquaintances over the past 40 years
3] the food from our lovely country.
Yes my morning rituals have changed drastically. I used to religously go to Raju's on JALAN GASING, everyday in the morning. Was so regular, I never had to place an order when I went there, sat at one place and read my papers in quiet, while having a great thosai and tea (teh tarik).
Over here though I leave home 1 hour later and am back home 2 hours ealrier.. well what does that say about time and traffic. I miss Malaysia but this is my new home and a new adventure has begun.
My kids and wife have been so supportive and have settled in well. The children are just outstanding, ALEX, ERIC and LARA , having more time with you, is so precious. Over here I realize weekends are even more preciious and MY TIME is so important.
